¡Hola! I’m LixSan
When I stand before a blank canvas or a city wall, I bring two souls with me: one is Colombian: loud, colorful, chaotic, and full of alegría. The other is German: straightforward, structured, and precise. I’ve lived within this creative tension for over two decades, and it is exactly where my art is born.
My work spans across different scales and mediums, organized into three distinct worlds:
Murals: Street art is a matter of the heart for me. My murals combine the feeling of the street with precise typography. I use words like Smile, Soulmates, or Amar bonito as anchors, transforming public spaces into invitations to pause, soak up positive energy, and remember that life is allowed to be beautiful.
Artworks: On a smaller scale, my canvases and collages allow me to explore a more intimate territory. While my paintings burst with abstract energy and portraiture, my highly detailed collages act as a visual journal. They are a deeply personal reflection of my inner world, capturing the raw, complex experience of navigating life and womanhood.
Typography: The foundation of my precision. My background in design gave me a deep love for clean lines, exact forms, and structural discipline, which feeds directly back into the typography of my murals.
Whether I am painting a massive wall with a message of love or layering a delicate collage in my studio, my goal remains the same: to use vibrant, uncompromising color and meticulous detail to build a bridge. From my experience to yours, and from person to person.
